Nymphaea ‘Jan’

Nymphaea ‘Jan’

Nymphaea ‘Jan’ is a tropical lily created in 2002 by Garet Uemura by crossing several unnamed hybrids. Flowers are light pink with creamy white at the base of each petal. The flower has approximately 30 petals. There are usually between 4 and 6 sepals which are green on the outside and white inside. Leaves are ovate, irregularly dentate, green on top with pink-green on the bottom. It was named in honor of Jan Yokoyama of Hilo, Hawaii, a good friend of Garet Uemura’s mother.
