N. 'Hickory Bend Itsy Bitsy Blue'.
Descriptions by Charles Leach.
Hickory Bend Itsy Bitsy Blue is probably a seedling of Hickory Bend Ruth, although Ruth has since produced few viable seeds. It can best be described as a very miniature version of N. Dauben. Planted in a cup size container it is happy growing in a bowl not much more than 12" ( 30cm) in diameter and even when planted in larger containers it seldom accrues a leaf spread exceeding 24" (60 cm).
Hickory Bend Itsy Bitsy Blue is a viviparous day bloomer with 1-3" ( 2,5 - 7,5 cm) light blue flowers, green 4-5" (10 -12 cm) leaves and a leaf spread seldom exceeding 24" ( 60 cm).
