Nymphaea prolifera Wiersema (Hydrocallis) is a night blooming viviparous waterlily. It has green pads that are flecked purple underneath. It has creamy white petals with green sepals. It often produces tiny tubers from flowers. It reproduces by way of asexual reproduction from the tuber bearing flowers. It blooms the first night from one hour after dusk until 3 or 4 a.m. The second night it opens at dusk until one or two hours before dawn. It’s publication date is 1984.
