Nymphaea ‘Midnight Embers’ is a J. Craig Presnell hybrid. The small petals in the center form a cushion around the center that resembles a pom-pom on the later days. It’s green pads are slightly speckled. It’s date of origin is 2002. Its parentage is Nymphaea ampla x unknown. The flower is a double purple with a pink center.
