Nymphaea ‘Blue Sapphire’

Nymphaea ‘Blue Sapphire’

Nymphaea ‘Blue Sapphire’ is a tropical lily created by Garet Uemura.

The following is Garet’s description…

“A random seedling produced in 2000.  This lily has approximately 18 blue petals that are not very spectacular.  However, the filaments/stamens on this lily curl inward creating a “ball” in the center of the flower on the second and third day of bloom.  This creates a “jeweled” appearance.  The leaves are mottled on the top, and have a purple mottling below.”

This waterlily is not in the IWC collection at this time. This information is for educational purposes only.
