LilyFest 2014

Here were the selling points for LilyFest 2014…

LilyFest had added events continuing after the noon hour.
There were multiple seminars on How to Dry Flowers. Times were 10 am, 12 pm, 2 pm and 4 pm.
Cost was $10 and includes supplies.
There was food available for purchase on site by caterers and live music all day by multiple bands.
There were many other IWC related memorabilia items for sale, T-Shirts, hats. koozies etc. with IWC pictures and logos.
In addition to all of the LilyFest events, we also operated in conjunction with the River Fest event.

Waterlily Sale

For the 1st time there were waterlilies (live plants) for sale right out of the Collection. We told everyone to bring some cash and go home with a beauty.We had a select few waterlilies for sale that Saturday. We sold many plants that were available on the market, a few that had just been released and about 20 new unnamed hybrids of Ken’s. It was the chance of a lifetime for the attending visitors who have ponds.

New Pool, Pavilion and Misting System

After 20 years of work and planning, the new pool was constructed. Thank you to everyone who was instrumental in playing a role to get us here. You all know who you are and it was an uphill battle to accomplish it against the Bureaucracy and Red Tape.

It was also the first time to enjoy fully the brand new pavilion and the misting system. The pavilion came in quite handy as it was a bit rainy and dreary the first couple of hours in the morning but everyone was dry and happy in the new facility created with the generous donation from the San Angelo Council of Garden Clubs.
